Excerpt from The Book: "The Dog in the Fog"

One day, a dog named Sparky was playing in the park. He was chasing a ball, and he ran into a big fog. The fog was so thick that Sparky couldn't see anything. He was scared.Sparky started to bark, but no one could hear him. He was all alone. He didn't know what to do. Suddenly, Sparky heard a noise.He turned around and saw a big, furry animal. The animal was right in front of him! Sparky was scared, but he also wanted to make friends. So he barked at the animal.The animal barked back. Then, the animal wagged its tail. Sparky wagged his tail too. He knew that he had made a new friend.The animal's name was Shadow. Shadow was a friendly dog, and he was glad to have a new friend. Sparky and Shadow played together in the fog. They had so much fun that they forgot all about being scared.When the fog cleared, Sparky and Shadow went home. They were both tired, but they were also happy. They had made a new friend, and they had had a great day.
